First, there's Yvan, 9, the funny and downright cowardly artist. Then there's Leïla, 12, the energetic and optimistic tomboy. Next come Camille, 8, the generous and moralizing innocent, and Terry, 5 and a half, the boisterous and endearing kid. And then there's also Dodji, 10, the big-hearted bear. These five children wake up one morning to find that all the inhabitants of the city have mysteriously disappeared. What happened? Where are their parents and friends?
